Mr Paraic Murray is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with an extensive practice, in the Galway Clinic, for knee related sports injuries as well as hip and knee joint replacements. He is a graduate of University College Dublin and has an MSc in Bio-engineering from the University of Strathclyde. After completing his Higher Surgical Training in Trauma and Orthopaedics, he spent two years in Canada carrying out fellowships in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery, Adult Reconstruction and Trauma Surgery. He is a regular guest lecturer on post-graduate Sports Medicine courses in TCD and NUIG. He maintains a keen interest in research and has collaborated with the Physical Education and Sports Science Department and the Physiotherapy school in the University of Limerick on a number of occasions. He acts as a supervisor for students on their research block, from both RCSI and NUIG Medical Schools
