A Consultant who has achieved a public appointment by open competition is entitled to apply for membership of the Irish Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery.

A Surgeon who has completed the 6 year Orthopaedic training programme and has been awarded a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training is entitled to apply for membership of the Irish Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery.

All members of the Irish Institute of Trauma and Orthopeadic Surgery must agree to peer review clinical audit.
